1. Acceptance of Terms
By booking any service with Uplux Detailing (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), the customer (“client”, “you”, or “your”) agrees to be legally bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
Acceptance of these Terms occurs upon:

These Terms apply to all services provided by Uplux Detailing.
2. Services Provided
Uplux Detailing provides mobile vehicle valeting and detailing services including, but not limited to:

All services are subject to vehicle condition, accessibility, weather conditions, and inspection.
3. Mobile Service Requirements
The client is responsible for providing:

Safe and lawful access to the vehicle
-
Sufficient working space
-
Safe surroundings
-
Access to electricity and/or water where agreed
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service where:
-
Conditions are unsafe
-
Access is restricted
-
Weather conditions compromise service quality or safety
-
Aggressive or threatening behaviour is displayed
-
Illegal substances or weapons are present
-
Vehicles contain excessive biohazards, infestations, mould, bodily fluids, or hazardous waste
4. Deposits & Booking Policy
Detailing Services
A non-refundable 10% deposit is required upfront for all detailing and coating bookings.
Bookings are not secured until the deposit has been received.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
48+ Hours Notice
No cancellation fee applies.
24–48 Hours Notice
The booking deposit will be retained.
Same-Day Cancellation
Deposit retained plus an additional fee equal to 20% of the booked service value.
No-Show Appointments
Failure to attend or provide access to the vehicle will incur a fee equal to 50% of the booked service value.
We reserve the right to refuse future bookings following repeated cancellations or no-shows.
6. Payment Terms
Accepted payment methods:

Card
Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Invoices unpaid after 7 days may incur a late payment charge of 20% of the outstanding balance.
The Company reserves the right to pursue debt recovery and associated legal costs where necessary.
7. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of detailing services, all sales are final.
Uplux Detailing operates a strict no-refund policy unless deemed necessary at the sole discretion of the Company.

Age of materials

Environmental exposure

Customer maintenance after service
8. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage
Customers acknowledge that Uplux Detailing is not responsible for pre-existing issues including but not limited to:

Scratches
-
Swirl marks
-
Stone chips
-
Paint defects
-
Failing clear coat
-
Rust
-
Dents
-
Interior wear
-
Loose trim
-
Damaged badges
-
Weak plastics
-
Aged rubber seals
-
Previous poor repairs
-
Repainted panels
-
Faded finishes
Certain detailing processes may reveal defects previously hidden by dirt, fillers, waxes, oils, or contamination.
9. Paint Correction & Detailing Risk Acknowledgement
Paint enhancement and correction services involve machine polishing and abrasive processes.
While performed professionally and with care, the customer acknowledges:

Certain defects may not be fully removable
-
Thin paint, previous repairs, or compromised clear coat may increase risk
-
Some defects may become more visible after correction
-
Deep scratches, etching, oxidation, and severe defects may remain
Uplux Detailing shall not be liable for failure of previously damaged or improperly repaired paintwork.
10. Ceramic Coating Disclaimer
Coating durability estimates are indicative only and depend heavily on:

Maintenance
-
Washing methods
-
Environmental exposure
-
Vehicle usage
-
Chemical exposure
Uplux Detailing does not provide warranties or guarantees on coating lifespan unless explicitly stated in writing.
Improper maintenance may reduce coating performance and longevity.
11. Water, Electrical & Mechanical Liability
The client acknowledges that detailing services involve the use of water, chemicals, tools, machinery, and prolonged vehicle access.
Uplux Detailing is not liable for:

Electrical faults
-
Mechanical failures
-
Battery drainage
-
Alarm activation
-
Sensor malfunction
-
Water intrusion caused by pre-existing seal failures
-
Weak or aged components failing during normal service procedures
This includes but is not limited to:

Window seals
-
Door seals
-
Sunroofs
-
Convertible roofs
-
Aftermarket electronics
-
Modified vehicles
12. Delicate & High-Risk Vehicles
Additional risk exists with:

Luxury vehicles
-
Exotic vehicles
-
Matte paint
-
Wrapped vehicles
-
PPF
-
Lowered vehicles
-
Air suspension systems
-
Classic vehicles
-
Aged interiors
The client accepts these risks when authorising service.
13. Personal Belongings
Customers must remove valuables and personal belongings prior to service.
Uplux Detailing is not liable for:

Lost items
-
Damaged items
-
Cash
-
Weapons
-
Sensitive documentation
-
Electronics left inside the vehicle
14. Weather Conditions
As a mobile detailing provider, service quality may be affected by:

Rain
-
Wind
-
Extreme temperatures
-
Environmental contamination
We reserve the right to reschedule appointments where weather conditions compromise safety or service quality.
15. Photographs & Marketing
The customer grants Uplux Detailing permission to:

Photograph vehicles before, during, and after service
-
Use images for marketing, website, social media, advertising, and portfolio purposes
Personal information will never knowingly be disclosed without consent.
Customers may request image removal in writing where reasonable.
16. Right to Refuse Service
Uplux Detailing reserves the right to refuse or terminate service at any time for reasons including:

Unsafe working conditions

Aggressive behaviour
-
Harassment
-
Excessive contamination
-
Biohazards
-
Illegal activity
-
Unsafe locations
-
Misrepresentation of vehicle condition
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under United Kingdom law:

Uplux Detailing’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service provided.

We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including:

Loss of earnings
-
Loss of vehicle value
-
Loss of use
-
Travel expenses
-
Business interruption
-
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
18. Force Majeure
Uplux Detailing shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform services resulting from:

Weather
-
Natural disasters
-
Traffic incidents
-
Equipment failure
-
Illness
-
Supply shortages
-
Circumstances beyond reasonable control
19. Maintenance Plans
Maintenance memberships are subject to:

Continued vehicle condition suitability
-
Scheduled attendance
-
Payment compliance
Failure to maintain appointments may result in removal from maintenance schedules.
Pricing may be adjusted with reasonable notice.
20. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
